Soera Taa-Haa
20:76
جَنَّـتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَـرُ خَـلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذلِكَ جَزَآءُ مَن تَزَكَّى
Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself
Tuinen der eeuwigheid waar doorheen rivieren stromen en waarin zij voor eeuwig zullen vertoeven. En dat is de beloning dergenen die zich louteren.

20:82
وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌ لِّمَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـلِحَاً ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
"Maar voorzeker, Ik ben Vergevensgezind jegens hem die berouw heeft en gelooft en het goede doet en leiding blijft volgen."

20:110
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْماً
Allah knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, but they do not encompass it in knowledge.
Hij weet al hetgeen voor hen en al hetgeen achter hen is, maar zij kunnen het met hun kennis niet omvatten.

20:111
وَعَنَتِ الْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَىِّ الْقَيُّومِ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْماً
And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice.
Alle gezichten zullen zich verootmoedigen in tegenwoordigheid van de Eeuwiglevende, de Zelfbestaande. Voorzeker, hij die ongerechtigheid begaat zal verloren gaan.

20:112
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّـلِحَـتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلاَ يَخَافُ ظُلْماً وَلاَ هَضْماً
But he who does of righteous deeds while he is a believer - he will neither fear injustice nor deprivation.
Maar hij die goede werken verricht en gelovig is, behoeft geen ongerechtigheid of verlies te vrezen.

20:113
وَكَذلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـهُ قُرْءَاناً عَرَبِيّاً وَصَرَّفْنَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ ذِكْراً
And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance.
Aldus hebben Wij het (Boek) als een duidelijke Arabische Koran nedergezonden en Wij hebben daarin duidelijk waarschuwingen herhaaldelijk uiteengezet, opdat men (God) moge vrezen en opdat het hen tot nadenken moge brengen.

20:114
فَتَعَـلَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ وَلاَ تَعْجَلْ بِالْقُرْءانِ مِن قَبْلِ إَن يُقْضَى إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْماً
So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
Verheven zij Allah, de Ware Koning. En haast u niet met de Koran eer de openbaring ervan aan u voltooid is en zeg: “O mijn Heer, doe mij toenemen in kennis.”

20:122
ثُمَّ اجْتَبَـهُ رَبُّهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَى
Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him].
Toen verkoos zijn Heer hem, vergaf hem en leidde hem.

20:123
قَالَ اهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعاً بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًى فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَاىَ فَلاَ يَضِلُّ وَلاَ يَشْقَى
[ Allah ] said, "Descend from Paradise - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter].
Hij (God) zeide: "Gaat allen tezamen hier vandaan, want gij zult elkander tot vijanden zijn. En indien er leiding van Mij tot u komt dan zal een ieder die Mijn leiding volgt, noch dwalen noch lijden."

Soera Taa-Haa
20:130
فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا وَمِنْ ءَانَآءِ الَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَى
So be patient over what they say and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.
Verdraag (Mohammed) lijdzaam hetgeen zij zeggen en verheerlijk uw Heer met de lof die Hem toekomt voor het opgaan der zon en voor haar ondergang en verheerlijk Hem in de uren van de nacht en op de gedeelten van de dag, opdat gij tevreden moogt zijn.

Soera Taa-Haa
20:131
وَلاَ تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَجاً مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [some] categories of them, [its being but] the splendor of worldly life by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring.
En wend uw ogen niet naar hetgeen Wij hebben toebedeeld van de heerlijkheid dezer wereld aan verschillenden hunner, om hen daardoor te beproeven. En de voorziening van uw Heer is beter en van langer duur.

Soera Taa-Haa
20:132
وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلوةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا لاَ نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقاً نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ وَالْعَـقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَى
And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.
En spoor uw familie (en volk) aan tot gebed en wees daarin volhardend. Wij vragen geen levensonderhoud van u, Wij onderhouden u. En het einde is voor de godvruchtigen.

Soera Taa-Haa
20:133
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۚ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures?
En zij (de ongelovigen) zeggen: “Waarom brengt hij ons geen teken van zijn Heer?” Is er dan geen duidelijk teken tot hen gekomen in hetgeen in de vroegere geschriften staat?

20:134
وَلَوْ أَنَّآ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِعَذَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَوْلَآ أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ
And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?"
En indien Wij hen voor zijn (van de profeet) komst met een straf hadden verdelgd, zouden zij ongetwijfeld hebben gezegd: “Onze Heer, waarom hebt Gij ons geen boodschapper gezonden, dan hadden wij Uw geboden kunnen volgen eer wij vernederd en onteerd werden?”

Soera Taa-Haa
20:135
قُلْ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ ٱلسَّوِىِّ وَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ
Say, "Each [of us] is waiting; so wait. For you will know who are the companions of the sound path and who is guided."
Zeg: “Een ieder wacht; wacht gij derhalve ook en weldra zult gij te weten komen wie de mensen van het rechte pad zijn en wie de rechte weg volgen.”
