Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee’s Advice On Taking Narrations Over Opinions:


Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee (d. 157) said:

“Adhere to the narrations from those who have preceded,
even if the people reject you, and beware of the opinions of men,
even if they beautify it with speech.
So indeed the afair will become clear (for others),
while you are upon a straight path regarding it!”

[Bayhaqee in Al-Madkhal (no. 233) with an authentic chain of narrators].

He also said:


“So make yourself patient upon the Sunnah, stop where the people stopped, speak with what they spoke with, and refrain from what they refrained from. And follow the path of your Righteous Predecessors (Salafus Saaliheen) for verily, sufficient for you is that which was sufficient for them!”

Ahl-ul-Bid’ah are as the christians when it comes to accepting that which suits them! :


Shaykh Al-Albaani (rahimahu Allah) :

Ahl-ul-Bid’ah are as the christians when it comes to accepting that which suits them! They read the Qur’ân and Sunnah and take that which suits them and lure away from that which doesn’t!

Een kenmerk van Ahloel-Bid'ah is dat zij slecht spreken over de Mensen van Overleveringen.Een kenmerk van de az-Zanaadiqah (ketters) is dat zij de mensen van overleveringen namen zoals Hashwiyyah geven, met als bedoeling de overleveringen teniet te doen. Een kenmerk van al-Qadariyyah is dat zij Ahloel-Soennah de naam Mudjabbarah geven. Een kenmerk van Djahmiyyah is dat zij Ahloes-Soennah de naam Moeshebihah geven. En het kenmerk van de Raafidah is dat zij Ahloel-Athr de naam Naabitah of Naasibah geven.” Ik zeg (de spreker is as-Saaboenie): Dit alles komt door fanatisme, want er is geen naam voor Ahloel-Soennah behalve de naam As-Haaboel-Hadieth (de Metgezellen van Hadieth).
