French champions Lyon may be nearing a move for Sochaux winger Jaouad Zairi.
The Morocco international has reportedly interested Lyon boss Gerard Houllier, despite his previous claims that he would not add to his squad in January.
However, with Lyon striker Pierre-Alain Frau joining Lens on loan for the rest of the season, Houllier may be keen to boost his ranks with the 23-year-old on an initial loan deal.
Sochaux president Jean-Claude Plessis has declared that a loan deal with Lyon for the North African talent is in the offing and it remains to be seen if Zairi does head to the Stade de Gerland outfit before the end of the month.
Zairi is currently with the Morocco squad who are preparing for this month's African Cup of Nations finals in Egypt.
