Morocco will complete their preparations for the Nations Cup in the gulf state of Qatar.
Philippe Troussier, coach of Morocco, arrived in Qatar on Tuesday to prepare for the 10-day training camp that will start on 8 January.
The team is expected to play friendlies against Qatar and China during their stay in Doha, the Qatari capital.
Troussier is also expected to monitor Moroccan internationals who play in the Qatari league.
They include defender Amin Erbati with Qatar club, Al Wakra's Youssef Chippo and the duo of Youssef Rossi and Rachid Rokki.
The North Africans will subsequently fly to Egypt, venue of the Nations Cup, from their Qatari base.
Runners-up at the 2004 tournament in Tunisia, Morocco will face World Cup finalists Ivory Coast in their opening group A match.
