In een frontale aanval op Oekraine, liet Israel Oekraine weten dat zij eist dat Oekraine 1 van haar burgers (Prof. Georgy Tchokin) van de kieslijst voor de komende verkiezingen afhaalt. Dit omdat Israel bepaalde ideologische problemen heeft met deze persoon, die trouwens de rector magnificus is van Oekraine’s grootste private universiteit. Tussen de regels door, laat Israel ook doorschemeren dat Oekraine goede relaties met hun goede bondgenoot USA kan vergeten, als zij niet aan de eis voldoet.

Is dit wel normala? Ik vind het nou niet bepaald “kunnen“ dat Israel zich zo bemoeit met de verkiezingslijsten van een land. Democratie is toch democratie? Ik hoor Israel voortdurend andere landen bekritiseren omdat het geen democraties zijn. Ten tweede, wat is de misdaad van deze man? Laat ik effe duidelijk zijn, ik ken die figuur heel goed en hij is niet altijd even politiek correct als hij over Israel praat en ik denk dat hij iets diplomatieker zou moeten zijn.

Maar………. Israel heeft al twee openlijke ex-terroristen (Menachem Begin en Shamir) en 1 vermoedelijke oorlogsmisdadiger (Sharon) als premier gehad. En ze hebben de wereld een middelvinger gegeven. Hebben ze wel recht om te eisen dat iemand van een ander land van de kieslijst wordt gehaald, alleen omdat hij felle anti-Israelische kritiek heeft?

Ik vind het in ieder geval geen goede zaak en dit bevestigt ook mijn vermoeden, namelijk dat Israel, maar ook hun Amerikaanse ideologische partners (de “Nieuw Conservatieven,” zie mijn onderschrift ), wel democratie in de wereld willen, maaaaaaaaar met 1 belangrijke eis: Je moet pro-Israel zijn, desnoods op een ondemocratische manier.



Ex Premier van Israel Menachem Begin was direct verantwoordelijk voor de King David Hotel bomaanslag die bijna 100 man doodde. Hij stond op de kieslijst en Israel negeerde alle kritiek, sterker nog, ze kozen hem als premier, hij is een nationale held. Dus is het wel consequent dat Israel Oekraine’s parlementsverkiezingen zo wil manipuleren?

Israel urges Ukraine to ban anti-Semite from parliamentary bid

Israel is demanding that Ukraine bar the parliamentary candidacy of Prof. Georgy Tchokin, president of Ukraine's largest private university and considered the country's most influential disseminator of anti-Semitic propaganda.

Israel Ambassador to Ukraine Naomi Ben-Ami and senior Foreign Ministry officials have made it clear to colleagues at the Ukrainian foreign ministry and presidential bureau that if they do not take harsh measures against Tchokin, it will cloud Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko's planned official visit to Israel in two months.

Yushchenko, who is interested in promoting Ukraine's relations with the United States and other Western countries, ascribes great importance to the visit. Israel's protests against anti-Semitism in Ukraine took on new force after last week's attack by skinheads on two yeshiva students in Kiev. One of the victims was flown to Israel this week and remains unconscious.

Following the attack, Tchokin's university claimed on one of its Web sites that it had been the act of "Jewish Nazi hooligans." After the July 7 terrorist attack in London, Tchokin's party newsletter claimed it was part of a Zionist plot to take over the world. The party issued a statement that the London attack "demonstrates the presence in global politics of clandestine Zionist organizations."

Tchokin, 51, is the founder and president of the Inter-regional Academy of Personal Management, which has 30,000 students at dozens of branches throughout Ukraine and an international branch aimed at attracting foreign enrollment. The university grants degrees in law, economics, business, accounting, political science and "practical medicine and psychology."

The university used to be a state institution, affiliated with famous Ukrainian politicians such as former president Leonid Kravchuk and past foreign ministers. It was privatized several years ago and funded by tuition and donations, but the public still views it as a state institution, since it provides professional training for senior civil servants.

Tchokin founded the "Conservative Party" of Ukraine at the beginning of the year, and announced his intention to run for parliament next year. He goes by the title "professor" and has a Ph.D in business administration; according to his Web site, he earned his degrees from organizations around the world.

Despite protests by Israel and Jewish organizations overseas, including in the United States and Western Europe, supporters of Yushchenko's new regime say Tchokin and his university should not be taken seriously, and any action taken against it would merely bolster its prestige.

Yushchenko's adviser for Jewish affairs, Joseph Zisels, shares this view, as does Vadim Rabinovich, a tycoon who heads the Ukrainian Jewish Congress. However, Foreign Ministry sources stressed they are determined to continue pressuring the Ukrainian government prior to the president's visit to take action against Tchokin and his university.

Stel nou dat die man helemaal geen liefhebber is van Israel...........stel nou dat hij dat ook openlijk zegt en hij zelfs heuse banden heeft met Saudie Arabie en Iran (zoals ieder ander land behalve Israel) en stel nou zelfs dat David Duke op een congres op zijn universiteit heeft gesproken (zoals Filip De Winter op de Erasmus Universiteit heeft gesproken). Is het dan wel terecht dat Israel Oekraine onder dwang zet om hem van de kieslijst te halen? Hij is duidelijk geen politiek correct figuur…..maar, laten we eerlijk zijn, Israel heeft zelf foutere mensen op de kieslijst gehad en zelfs foutere mensen daadwerkelijk gekozen.

Laat het duidelijk zijn, die gast is niet “my type of guy”, maar ik vind het ruiken naar chantage. Zo van:“Dump die gast, of vergeet goede relaties met Uncle Sam.”

Nee, dat hij David Duke als gastspreker op zijn congres heeft gehad is geen reden om Oekraine's democratie zo te chanteren in eigen belang. In dat geval zouden we ook geen enkele medewerker van de Erasmus Universiteit meer op een kieslijst mogen hebben, omdat Filip de Winter er heeft gesproken. Op die congres was trouwens ook de (zeer fatsoenlijke) Israeli genaamd Israel Shamir aanwezig op dezelfde podium, zij aan zij David Duke en eensgezind. Israel moet begrijpen dat de wereld niet onder dwang haar hoort te tolereren, maar dat zij zich zelf ook moet inspannen om de publieke opinie te veranderen.

Wat nou als Saudie NL onder grote druk zet om Wilders van de kieslijst te halen? Zou je dan niet zoiets hebebn van : "Ja daaaaaaaag."

Dat doen ze ook niet. Ze zeggen alleen maar niet op officieel staatsbezoek naar Israel te komen als een nazie kans krijgt in diezelfde officiele regering plaats te nemen.
