Du'a voor het studeren

Allahumma infa'nii bimaa 'allamtanii wa'allimnii maa yanfa' unii.

Oh Allah! Maak hetgeen wat u mij heeft gegeven zinnig en geef mij kennis die nuttig voor mij zal
zijn.

Allahumma inii as'aluka fahmal-nabiyyen wa hifthal mursaleen al-muqarrabeen.

Oh Allah! Ik vraag U om uw begrip voor de profeten en de herinnering aan de boodschappers, en zij
die dichtbij U zijn.

Allahumma ijal leesanee 'amiran bi thikrika wa qalbi bi khashyatika.

Oh Allah! Laat mijn tongval vol zijn van Uw bewustzijn

Du'a na het studeren

Allahhumma inni astaodeeuka ma qara'tu wama hafaz-tu. Faradduhu 'allaya inda hagati elayhi. Innaka
'ala ma-tasha'-u qadeer wa anta hasbeeya wa na'mal wakeel.

Oh Allah! Ik vertrouw U toe aan hetgeen dat ik heb gelezen en bestudeerd. Oh Allah! Laat het weer
tot mij tergukomen, op het moment dat ik het nodig heb. Oh Allah! U doet wat u wilt, U bent mijn
helper en mijn beschermer en de beste hulp komt van U.

Du'a tijdens het studeren van iets ingewikkelds

Allahumma la sahla illama ja-'altahu sahla wa anta taj 'alu al hazana etha shi'ta sahla.

Oh Allah! Niets is makkelijk, behalve hetgeen dat U vermakkelijkt heeft. Als U wilt, kunt u het
ingewikkelde vermakkelijken.

Du'a tegen zenuwen

Allahumma inni a'oodhoo bika minal-hammi walhuzni, wal-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni, wa
dal'id-dayni wa ghalabatir- rajaal

Oh Allah! U bent mijn toevluchtsoord in tijden van ongerustheid en leed, zwakte en luiheid,
vrekkigheid en timide, bij last van schulden en bij onderdrukking.

Du'a tegen stress

Allahumma rahmataka arjoo falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata 'aynin wa aslih-lee sha'nee kullahu,
laa ilaha illa anta

Oh Allah! Het is Uw genade waar ik voor hoop dus laat U mij niet in beschuldiging van mijn
kwesties
zelfs niet voor een enkele knipoog en corrigeer mij voor al mijn kwesties. Niemand heeft het recht
aanbeden te woorden behalve U.

Question :


Can we ask duas,in languages other than arabic in the salat after thashahud and the duas in sunnah.can we pray other duas from the quran that is not in sunnah.

Answer :

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:

If the worshipper can say du’aa’ well in Arabic, it is not permissible for him to make du’aa’ in any other language.

But if the worshipper is unable to make du’aa’ in Arabic, there is no reason why he should not make du’aa’ in his own language, so long as he starts learning Arabic in the meantime.

With regard to making du’aa’ in languages other than Arabic outside of prayer, there is nothing wrong with that, especially if that will make the worshipper more focused in his du’aa’.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:

It is permissible to make du’aa’ in Arabic and in languages other than Arabic. Allaah knows the intention of the supplicant and what he wants, no matter what language he speaks, because He hears all the voices in all different languages, asking for all kinds of needs.

Secondly:

There is nothing wrong with reciting du’aa’s mentioned in the Qur’aan even if there is no report in the Sunnah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited them in his du’aa’. They are all good and contain guidance. Most of the du’aa’s of the Prophets and Messengers that we know are from the Qur’aan. Undoubtedly their du’aa’s are the most eloquent and most profound in meaning.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

People should make du’aa’ by reciting the prescribed du’aa’s that are mentioned in the Qur’aan and Sunnah, because these are undoubtedly virtuous and good, and this is the straight path. The scholars of Islam and the imams have mentioned the du’aa’s that are prescribed in Islam, and turned away from the innovated du’aa’s, so we should follow them in that.
