We could not imagine that such kind of questions or acts could exist, were it not that it is also part of the Fitan. It is also part of the Fitan! This [questioner] says: “Do you advise us to take knowledge from Shaykh 'Abdullah bin Jibreen, despite the defamations issued out against him? Is he considered a Shaykh, whom one can ask about?”
We ask Allah for protection against tests! Those who slander such [scholars] are street robbers when it comes to arriving at religious knowledge! They are those who try to set up a barrier between the students of knowledge and their Shaykhs! That an unknown person cries: ‘He and thee!’. With that maligning the Imams of Islam, the Shaykhs of the Muslims!? If the Shaykh (Ibn Jibreen) is slandered, who will be left of us? We should therefore keep us with the major scholars, like this noble Shaykh who devoted himself and his time for a long time to the Religion and the religious knowledge. With Allah we seek help!"
