Prayer:

1. The Athaan and Iqaamahxarexnotxa must for the women;xand itxisxincorrectxfor a woman to call them for men.

2. A woman praysxbehind a man,xeven if shexisxalone. However if a man prays behind another man alone,xhis prayer is incorrect.

3. A womanxcanxnotxlead a man in prayer.

4. If a woman leads the prayer for other womenxshe must stand in thexmiddle.xWhen a man leads the prayer he stands in [the" --> front row alone.

5. Congregational prayer isxa must for the men and not the women.

6. The best row for women in congregation isthe lastxand the best row for the men isxthe first.

7. Walking to prayer at night isrecommended for men,xbut not for women.

8. If the imaam makes a mistake in prayerxthe women clapxandxthe menxsay “Subhanallaah”.

9. The womenxdoxnotxhave to attend Jumu’ah;xand men must attend Jumu’ah.

10. Womenxcanxnotxdeliver the sermon for Eid, Jumu’ah, eclipse prayer and rain prayer.

11. Prayer isxinvalidxwhen a woman passes in front of a man. And if a man passes in front of another man during prayer,xitxisxstill valid.

12. The Eid prayer isxan obligation for men, but not for women.xHowever, itxisxrecommended for women to attendxif they are safe from fitnah.

Funeral Prayer:

1. The congregation standsxat the headxof the deceased man andxat the middlexof the deceased woman.

2. It isxdislikedxfor women to visit the graveyard and itxisxrecommendedxfor men.

3. Womenxcanxnotxaccompany a funeral procession, but men can.

4. Women wash and shroud each other and men wash and shroud each other;xunless they were spouses.

Zakaah and Sadaqah:

1. Women are encouragedxmore than menxto give charity.

2. A woman can pay Zakaahxon her children’s and husband’s behalf,xbut a man canxnotxpay Zakaah on his children’s and wife’s behalf.

3. Redemptionxis a duty for the man and not the woman.xThis can occur if a man intentionally had relations with his wife during daylight in Ramadaan.

4. A woman canxnotxfast voluntarilyxunless she has her husband’s permission.xA man doesxnotxneed his wife’s permission to fast voluntarily.
