Een zuster vraagt:

De moslimvrouw bespendeert veel van haar tijd in de keuken met het klaarmaken van verschillende gerechten,dus zij mist kansen(voor goede daden) tijdens deze Maand(Ramadaan).

O,Sheikh hebt u enige leiding voor haar en zal zij beloond worden voor het koken?

Antwoord:

Ja,zij zal beloond worden omdat zij eten klaar maakt voor de vastende en dit hoort onder het samenwerken in het goede en vrees(Al Bir wa Taqwa) en ze zal hiervoor beloond worden.

Koken en huishouden zal haar niet beletten voor het memoriseren van de Koran.

Koken zou haar niet moeten beletten van Dhikr(gedenken)van Allah Soubhana wa Tala.

Aisha (Radia Allah anha) overleverde dat Profeet (salla wa alihi wa salaam)zei:

“De zorg voor jullie huizen (huishoudens, families) is jullie verantwoordelijkheid. Deze daad van jullie is djihaad.” (Overgeleverd in Musnad Ahmad)

Deze daad is djihaad zoals umm al muslimeen 'aicha aan heeft gegeven.

Echter kan je tijdens het koken kiezen om Allaah te gedenken of te roddelen over je buurvrouw.

Ken je het verhaal van de bakker die Allaah herdenkt en Imaam Ahmad? DIt is een mooie voorbeeld om te illustreren hoe je islamitisch productief kunt koken en bakken.

The guard became furious and dragged him away, despite the old age and frailty of Imam Ahmad.

A baker, whose shop was nearby, watched this scene and took pity on the Imam. He invited the Imam to stay with him for the night. While there, Imam Ahmad noticed that the baker continuously made istighfar (asking for Allah’s forgiveness) while working, and in the morning, the Imam eagerly asked his host about the latter’s continual seeking of forgiveness. The baker said it had become like second nature, so Imam Ahmed asked whether the man had experienced any reward from this practice.

The baker answered, ‘By Allah! No du’aa have I made except that it was answered – But one.’

‘And what is that duaa?’ asked Imam Ahmed.

The baker replied,

‘To be able to see the famed Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal!’

Imam Ahmed interjected, ‘I am Ahmed ibn Hanbal!’ He then went on to add: By Allah! I was dragged to your place so that you can have your duaa/wish come true!

elke (halal) daad die je verricht met de intentie om de tevredenheid van Allah te behalen, wordt beloond. wat ik verafschuw is dat mensen tijdens de maand van discipline, toch niet de baas kunnen worden van hun begeertes, tafels worden gevuld met hapjes, hetgeen schadelijk is voor je lichaam. de essentie is hiermee weggeveegd, een paar happen zouden genoeg moeten zijn, armen moeten meer geholpen worden.
