Killer of rapist given reduced sentence
Jordanian student murders man who raped him when he was teenager

A criminal court in Amman sentenced a Jordanian university student to two years in prison for murdering a friend who raped him when he was a teenager, newspaper in the Arab country reported.
The student confessed that he stabbed his friend to death for raping him and for trying to make fresh advances on him after the rapist was released from jail where he spent nearly 18 months.
After his release, the unnamed rapist went to the same university and started to make advances on his friend and threatening to expose him over their previous relationship, the papers said.
Pretending to agree to his request, the student took his rapist in his car to a deserted area and told him to stop his advances. After he refused, the student pulled a knife and stabbed him to death.
“The court gave the defendant a reduced sentence after it found that the crime was a result of a fit of anger,” the papers quoted the judge as saying.
