Sahlab 2 - Nemesis
Je hebt Turkse versie en Midden-oosterse..
dit is de Turkse:
Ingrediënten voor 4 personen
2,5 dl melk,
1 el geraspte citroenschil,
2 zakjes vanillesuiker,
2 el saleppoeder (turkse winkel)
suiker naar smaak,
1 el kaneel,
wat verse munt
Bereidingswijze
De melk in de pan doen en er de citroenschil en de saleppoeder toevoegen. Minuut of 5 al roerend zachtjes laten koken. Suiker naar smaak toevoegen in de orchideeenmelk. De orchideeenmelk in een kan doen, en met kaneel bestrooien.
Serveertips
Garneren met verse muntblaadjes.
In de shaam:
Ingredients - Sahlab:
1 1/2 tablespoons Sahlab powder or 2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 cups milk
3 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
2 teaspoons rose or orange-blossom water (optional)
2 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios
Ground cinnamon
Preparation - Sahlab:
Mix the Sahlab powder or cornstarch with a few tablespoons of milk.
Bring the remaining milk to a boil. Pour in the starch mixture, stirring vigorously, so that lumps do not form.
Cook over very low heat, stirring continuously, until the milk thickens (about 10 minutes). Then stir in the sugar and the rose water or orange blossom water, if you so desire.
Serve in cups with the chopped pistachios and cinnamon as garnish. You may also sprinkle grated coconut on top.

Ingredients
4 teaspoons Sahlab (salep) powder
2 glasses milk
Sugar to taste
Cooking Instructions
Add the salep and sugar to some cold milk and mix well.
Bring the rest of the milk to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, then add the salep/milk mixture.
Wait until the mixture thickens.
You can garnish by adding shredded coconuts, crushed nuts, or a pinch of cinnamon.
Serve hot.
