"We moeten trots naar Barcelona gaan. Zonder Pepe en Ramos, die helemaal niets fouts deden. En zonder een trainer op de bank. Na een uitslag waar nauwelijks nog wat aan te doen valt. Als we meteen scoren, moeten we daarna in de aanval gaan maar dan maken ze ons af."

Meskien Mourinho erkent te vrezen voor de aanvallen van Barca. Nachtmerrie 5-0 nog vers in de geheugen..

Jose Mourinho has taken the power from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez at the Santiago Bernabeu but it could lead to disaster, insists former supremo Ramon Calderon.

Calderon has renewed his attack on the Portuguese tactician, and suggested he might as well be running the club after his comments to the media in the aftermath of defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.

"It is not like Real Madrid but the president has granted the power to Mourinho. Mourinho is the owner of the club," Calderon told Europa Press.

"Even the CEO cannot get into his [Mourinho's] office because he keeps it locked. It is impossible for this to end well. It's unthinkable these things [would] happen in my time as president, in which everything was a matter of storm and scandal.

"Fans are paying the consequences. The club has given them a coach who knew what [the club] was about and now we are paying the consequences. The sad thing is that the consequences are not being paid by them, but the fans pay."

The Spanish magnate also feels Mourinho's post-game reaction to defeat was 'inappropriate', and that a club of Madrid's stature should not be in the business of criticising the performance of the officials.

He added: "Madrid is a big club that has never complained about the referees, the conference seemed shameful. With respect to not only the match, which can be understood in a tense moment, it seems inappropriate to speak of Unicef and the referees."

Madrid and Barcelona have taken their battles off the pitch with both complaining about each other to Uefa, but Calderon feels it is a situation that will only damage Spanish soccer as a whole.

"The whole subject of lawsuits between Real Madrid and Barcelona is a mistake. We have the best football in the world and this hurts our image," he concluded.

Gelijk heeft hij. Mourinho maakt Madrid kapot, terwijl hier de hersenloze zijn manier van aanpakken toejuichen. Als hij maar van Barça wint denken ze
