Tel Aviv - An Israeli teenager on Sunday died of injuries sustained when Palestinian militants fired an anti-tank missile at a school bus earlier this month.
Daniel Raphael Viflic, 16, died at the Soroka hospital in Beersheba, where he was being treated, hospital spokeswoman Inbar Guter said.
Viflic, the only passenger on the bus when it was hit on April 7, suffered severe head trauma.
The driver suffered light injuries when the anti-tank missile struck as the bus travelled near the Gaza border.
The attack sparked the worst violence in two years between Israel and the Palestinian militias in the Gaza Strip.
By the time the fighting died down after three days, militants had fired over 130 rockets and mortar shells at Israeli towns and villages, and Israeli forces had killed 19 Palestinians and wounded 66.
