Islamist magazine Attajdid, close to the PJD (Party for Justice and Development) published in its issue 2463 of 3 to 5 September 2010 an article (in Arabic) entitled "Israel's strategy to infiltrate the Amazigh movement in the Maghreb."
The article's author claims to base his "analysis" on a report prepared and published by an Israeli research center.
Given the inaccuracy of the data reported by the author of the article and the bad faith that motivated its initiative, the two authors, and Rashid Ahmed Aassid Elhahi respond to the article Attajdid with different approaches.
For A.Aassid the Attajdid article comes at the time of publication of the report of CERD (Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination) presented to the UN during the 77 th session in Geneva from 2 to 27 August 2010.
The Report asked the Moroccan government on the measures taken to guarantee all rights of Amazigh. He expressed concern about the Amazigh language is still not recognized as an official language of the prohibition of Amazigh names and status of the teaching of the Amazigh language.
The objective of Attajdid Aassid according to Ahmed, is to guide and deflect the debate away from the CERD report, to a fake problem, namely the Amazigh-Israeli relations that exist only in people's heads of 'Attajdid. However, relations between Israel and Morocco have long existed on several levels of diplomatic, economic and cultural.
For his part, Elhahi focused on unhealthy ideological motivations of the author of the article emphasizing that the report is that while Israel is only an article by a researcher expert on Israeli relations the Maghreb.
Similarly, it does not directly concern the Amazigh issue but it's subject is focused on the Israeli-Maghrebi. In this paper, called the report by the article Attajdid the Amazigh issue was raised only in connection with the presentation of different positions stated by the stakeholders active in the political field in Morocco, namely the Islamists , the pan-Arabists and activists of the Amazigh movement.
