Officials of the Moroccan Football Federation have the firm intention to contact their counterparts in the African confederation to demand a strengthening of security around the stadium in Bangui.
During the meeting between Central African Republic and Algeria playoff spot for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2012, many Central Africans supporters stormed the stadium in Bangui. This incident did not cause any particular damage, but the Federation Royale Marocaine de Football Association (FRMF) must act to avert any eventuality, it will then ask the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to ensure the safety of Moroccan players at the 5th round of qualifiers to be held at the sports complex Barthelemy Boganda. The FRMF has put pressure on the CAF and the Central African Federation so that such events never happen again.
Without guaranteed safety, the FRMF feared a reaction from European clubs who can forbid their players to travel to Bangui.
