KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday said the initial investigation in the Ashura procession carnage case has revealed that the blast was not a suicide attack. He said interrogations were underway.
Malik was speaking to the media in the Jinnah Courts after a high-level meeting in Karachi.
He said an investigation was also underway to identify the culprits in the rioting that took place immediately after the blast.
Malik said footage of the rioting available to the investigators was proving to be of great help.
DG Rangers Sindh, DG FIA Karachi, who is also the chief investigation officer of the blast in Karachi, and MQM leader Farooq Sattar also attended the meeting. — DawnNews
