The Portugal international is set to complete his €94 million switch from Manchester United to Los Blancos after the dispute surrounding his image rights was resolved...

According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo has finally agreed personal terms with Primera Division giants Real Madrid.

Apparently, the switch had been held up due to a disagreement over the distribution of the 2008 FIFA World Player of the Year's image rights.

It is claimed that Los Blancos wanted to split the Portugal international's image rights evenly, but Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, is thought to have been locked in negotiations to secure 60 per cent of them for his client.

Although the exact details are not given, it is said that an accord has been reached and that the 24-year-old is now set to complete his €94 million (£80m) transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.

With regard to wages, Ronaldo is expected to earn €237,000-a-week (£200,000) tax free, a figure that rises by 25 per cent each year.
