Hamdi Rouid To Be Tested By Hertha Berlin & Bayer Leverkusen
The defender will travel to Germany in the coming days to trials with the Bundesliga sides.
10 Jun 2009
According to Infosfoot.net, Club Sportif Sfaxien centre-back Hamdi Rouid could be the latest Tunisian footballer on his way to the German Bundesliga, if he succeeds during his upcoming trials with both Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen this month.
He scored three goals for Sfaxien this season and will be heavily missed if he moves abroad, especially considering the fact that his team captain and fellow defender, Issam Merdassi, is on the verge of signing for an unnamed Emirati side.
Rouid could potentially join Tunisian international forward Amine Chermiti at Hertha Berlin if all goes well or become the replacement for Karim Haggui at Bayer Leverkusen, after the former Etoile du Sahel player signed with Hannover recently.
Despite the player’s importance, Sfaxien are reportedly open to allowing him to begin a professional career in Europe and will not deprive him of his dream move if it materialises.
