Mekka en niet moslims

Tijdens El3ied zat ik samen met mijn zus te kijken naar een uitzending op tv over Mekka. Tijdens die uitzending kwamen meerdere mensen aan het woord die een groet overbrachten naar familie in hun thuisland.
Nou is algemeen bekend dat alleen moslims toegang hebben tot Mekka, maar hoe weet men dat iemand moslim is?
Het staat niet in je paspoort.
Wij kwamen er niet uit hoe die controle wordt gehouden. Weet iemand dit?

Niet dat ik weet. Ik heb een programma gezien, de reis naar Mekka, en daar mocht de journalist niet verder. Er waren verkeersborden die aanduiden waar moslims toegang kunnen krijgen tot Mekka en non muslims moesten een andere weg volgen en er waren controles. Waar de controles op worden gebaseerd is mij een raadsel.

Ten eerste, God erkent alles met de juiste intentie, ten tweede, misschien moet je wel wat vragen beantwoorden die je echt als moslim zijnde kunt beantwoorden. I don't know.

ja klopt mijn zwager is ook bekeerd en hij heeft ook en bewijs dat hij de shahada gezegd heeft, en die had hij ook nodig voor zawgiya

die heb ik ook gezien , maar er was ook een ander documentaire , toen vertelde hij dat er vrouwen werden aangeboden aan hem om de nachten dat hij alleen op bedevaart was , om die vrouwen te kunnen gebruiken onder het mom tijdelijke huwelijken , dan praat ik over vrouwen van 13 a 14 die aangeboden werden

en dat hij donkere moslims ging ondervragen en die vertelden dat ze werden gediscrimineerd vanwege hun huidskleur en dat ze aan de andere kant moesten blijven ofzo

The Saudi government uses the following verse as a Qur’an confirmation for this law, however there are other interpretations to this verse (in particular, People of the Book would usually not be regarded as pagans)[43]):

As one might expect, the existence of cities closed to non-Muslims and the mystery of the Hajj aroused intense curiosity in people from around the world. Some have disguised themselves as Muslims and entered the city of Mecca and then the Grand Mosque to experience the Hajj for themselves. The most famous account of a foreigner's journey to Mecca is A Personal Narrative of a Pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, written by Sir Richard Francis Burton.[44] Burton traveled as a Qadiriyyah Sufi from Afghanistan; his name, as he signed it in Arabic below his frontispiece portrait for The Jew The Gypsy and El Islam was al-Hajj 'Abdullah

Motivated by his love of adventure, Burton got the approval of the Royal Geographical Society for an exploration of the area and he gained permission from the Board of Directors of the British East India Company to take leave from the army. His seven years in India gave Burton a familiarity with the customs and behaviour of Muslims and prepared him to attempt a Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca and, in this case, Medina). It was this journey, undertaken in 1853, which first made Burton famous. He had planned it whilst travelling disguised among the Muslims of Sindh, and had laboriously prepared for the ordeal by study and practice (including being circumcised to further lower the risk of being discovered).

Although Burton was not the first non-Muslim European to make the Hajj (Ludovico di Barthema in 1503 is believed to hold that distinction[12]), his pilgrimage is the most famous and the best documented of the time. He adopted various disguises including that of a Pashtun to account for any oddities in speech, but he still had to demonstrate an understanding of intricate Islamic ritual, and a familiarity with the minutiae of Eastern manners and etiquette. Burton's trek to Mecca was quite dangerous and his caravan was attacked by bandits (a common experience at the time). As he put it, although "...neither Koran or Sultan enjoin the death of Jew or Christian intruding within the columns that note the sanctuary limits, nothing could save a European detected by the populace, or one who after pilgrimage declared himself an unbeliever."[13] The pilgrimage entitled him to the title of Hajji and to wear green head wrap. Burton's own account of his journey is given in A Personal Narrative of a Pilgrimage to Al-Medinah and Meccah (1855).

Some members of his entourage suspected there was more to Burton than met the eye. He came close to being discovered one night when he lifted his robe to urinate, rather than squatting as an Arab would. He thought he was unseen, but the youngest member of his group happened to see him. The lad accused him of being an imposter, but let Burton convince him to keep his doubts to himself.[14]

When Burton returned to the British Army he sat for examination as an Arab linguist - and failed.


Je moet dus wel erg ver gaan wil je je zelf goed indekken. En dan hebben we het hier over het jaar 1800 etc. Tegenwoordig moet de controle haast wel strenger zijn.
