GAEL CLICHY says Arsenal have their very own version of Cristiano Ronaldo in Dutch superstar Robin van Persie.
The Gunners' left-back, 22, reckons the Holland ace is just as good as the Portuguese winger and backed the former Feyenoord playmaker to fire the Gunners to glory next season.
Clichy said: “At Arsenal we have lots of players who can make a difference. But Robin is a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, the kind who, even if they aren't playing fantastically, can change things from one free-kick, corner or pass.
“He was unlucky to be injured last season so it was good to see him play game after game.
“It was a big blow to lose him and I'm certain that his return is going to be a great bonus for us this season."
Clichy will be playing alongside fellow Frenchman Samir Nasri at the Emirates next term after the former Marseille playmaker completed a £12million move.
But the defender moved to play down comparisons between his new team-mate and Zinedine Zidane, insisting Nasri has a long way to go before he can be compared to the French legend.
Clichy added: "He is certainly a great player but we have to judge him over the coming years and then afterward we can talk about Zidane or whoever."
