salaam,
Is the hadeeth "Paradise is of the mother" authentic? And can your provide statements from the Muhadditheen for us. Jazakum Allah khair
Dear brother:
Al-Salâm `Alaykum wa Rahmah Allah wa Barakâtuh.
This is a fabricated hadîth. It was related by Ibn `Adî and al-`Aqîlî. Al-`Aqîlî relates it in his work al-Du`afâ’ and declares it “munkar”. The chain of transmission of this hadîth contains the narrator Mûsâ b. Muhammad b. `Atâ’. Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalânî says about him: “He is a liar.”

De authentieke versie gaat als volgt:
Jâhimah came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I want to go into battle and I have come to participate.”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Do you have a mother?” He replied in the affirmative, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Stay with her, for verily Paradise is [SIZE=4]beneath her feet.”
[Related by al-Nasâ’î, al-Hâkim, Ahmad, and ibn Abî Shaybah in his Musnad] Al-Hâkim declared it authentic and al-Dhahabî concurred with his ruling.
