Rabat, Beijing vow to consolidate military cooperation
Beijing, June 11 - Morocco and China have voiced their commitment to consolidate cooperation between the two countries' armed forces, according to the Chinese Xinhua News Agency.
The statement was made during a meeting, here Monday, between Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan and visiting General Inspector of Moroccan royal armed forces Abdelaziz Bennani.
Cao, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor, said China hopes to strengthen its cooperation with morocco in various fields, including military training and technologies.
Bennani said he is glad to see that the existing deep friendship between the two armed forces is further developing and he hopes the two sides will become important partners of each other, adding Moroccan armed forces will further promote cooperation with the Chinese side.
Before meeting with Cao, Bennani also held talks with Liang Guanglie, a member of the Central Military Commission and chief of the general staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
Bennani started his one-week official visit to China on Friday at the invitation of Liang.
