37. Zij die in de Rangen behoren (A-Ssaffaat) [/SIZE]
(Verily, We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). And to guard against every rebellious devil. They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. Except such as snatch away something by stealing, and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness.) [37:6-7] Qatadah said, "These stars were only created for three purposes: Allah created them as adornment for the heaven (sky), as missiles for the devils and as signs for navigation. Therefore, whoever seeks to interpret any other meanings for them other than these, then verily he has spoken with his own opinion, he has lost his portion and burdened himself with that which he has no knowledge of.'' Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abi Hatim both recorded this statement.
vers 6.
Wij hebben de laagste hemel met sterren versierd.
إِنَّا زَيَّنّ& #1614;ا السَّمَ& #1570;ءَ الدُّنْ& #1610;َا بِزِينَ& #1577;ٍ الْكَوَ& #1603;ِبِ
vers 7.
Als bescherming tegen iedere opstandige Satan.
وَحِفْظ& #1575;ً مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـ& #1606;ٍ مَّارِد& #1613;
vers 8.
Zij kunnen van de verheven bijeenkomst niets horen en zij worden van elke kant verdreven.
لاَّ يَسَّمّ& #1614;عُونَ إِلَى الْمَلإ& #1616; الاٌّعْ& #1604;َى وَيُقْذ& #1614;فُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِب¡ 3;
vers 9.
Als verworpenen en er is voor hen een voortdurende straf;
دُحُورا& #1611; وَلَهُم& #1618; عَذابٌ وَاصِب¡ 2;
vers 10.
Maar hij die steelsgewijze opvangt, hem achtervolgt een heldere vlam.
إِلاَّ مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْ& #1601;َةَ فَأَتْب& #1614;عَهُ شِهَاب¡ 2; ثَاقِب¡ 2;

(16. And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders. ) (17. And We have guarded it (near heaven) from every outcast Shaytan (devil).)
vers 16.
En Wij hebben aan de hemel voorzeker banen (van sterren) gemaakt en hem voor aanschouwers versierd.
وَلَقَد& #1618; جَعَلْن& #1614;ا فِى السَّمَ& #1575;ءِ بُرُوجً& #1575; وَزَيَّ& #1606;َّـهَا لِلنَّـ& #1592;ِرِينَ
vers 17.
En Wij hebben hem tegen elke vervloekte Satan beschermd.
وَحَفِظ& #1618;نَـهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَـ& #1606;ٍ رَّجِيم& #1613;
vers 18.
Maar indien iemand steelsgewijze luistert, vervolgt hem een heldere vlam.
إِلاَّ مَنِ اسْتَرَ& #1602;َ السَّمْ& #1593;َ فَأَتْب& #1614;عَهُ شِهَاب¡ 2; مُّبِين& #1612;
[SIZE="4"]De Dichters (A-Shoe'araae) [/SIZE]
Allah tells us about His Book, which falsehood cannot approach from before or behind it, sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise. He states that it has been brought down by the trustworthy Ruh (i.e., Jibril) who is helped by Allah,
(And it is not the Shayatin who have brought it down.) Then He tells us that it could not be the case for three reasons that the Shayatin brought it down. One is that it would not suit them, i.e., they have no desire to do so and they do not want to, because their nature is to corrupt and misguide people, but this contains words enjoining what is right and forbidding what is evil, and light, guidance and mighty proofs. There is a big difference between this and the Shayatin,
(Neither would it suit them)(nor are they able.) meaning, even if they wanted to, they could not do it. Allah says:
vers 210.
De duivelen hebben (de Koran) niet nedergebracht,
وَمَا تَنَزَّ& #1604;َتْ بِهِ الشَّيَ& #1600;طِينُ
vers 211.
Noch is het passend voor hen, noch zijn zij in staat, dat te doen.
وَمَا يَنبَغِ& #1609; لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَط& #1616;يعُونَ
vers 212.
Voorzeker het horen (hiervan) is hun ontnomen.
إِنَّهُ& #1605;ْ عَنِ السَّمْ& #1593;ِ لَمَعْز& #1615;ولُونَ

(And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, ) This refers to the stars which have been placed in the heavens, some moving and some stationary. (and We have made them
vers5.
En voorwaar, Wij hebben de naastbije hemel met lampen versierd, Wij hebben hem tot een middel gemaakt om de satans te verdrijven en voor hen hebben Wij de straf van het razende Vuur bereid.
وَلَقَد& #1618; زَيَّنّ& #1614;ا السَّمَ& #1570;ء الدُّنْ& #1610;َا بِمَصَـ& #1576;ِيحَ وَجَعَل& #1618;نَـهَا رُجُوما& #1611; لّلشَّي& #1614;ـطِينِ وَأَعْت& #1614;دْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَاب¡ 4; السَّعِ& #1610;رِ
[SIZE="4"]De Djinn (Al-Djinn)
Allah informs about the Jinns when He sent His Messenger Muhammad and revealed the Qur'an to him. Among the ways He protected it (the Qur'an) was by filling sky with stern guards guarding it from all of its sides. The devils were then expelled from the places where they used to sit prior to that. This was so that they could not steal anything from the Qur'an and tell it to the soothsayers, thereby causing matters to be confused and mixed up. If this happened it would not be known who was being truthful. Allah did this out of His kindness to His creation, His mercy upon His servants and His protection of His Mighty Book (the Qur'an). This is why the Jinns said,:
vers8.
En wij trachtten de hemel te bespieden en wij vonden deze vol sterke wachters en vlammen.
وَأَنَّ& #1575; لَمَسْن& #1614;ا السَّمَ& #1570;ءَ فَوَجَد& #1618;نَـهَا مُلِئَت& #1618; حَرَسا¡ 1; شَدِيدا& #1611; وَشُهُب& #1575;ً
vers 9.
En voorzeker, wij plachten op enige plaatsen te zitten om de gesprekken te beluisteren. Maar wie nu luistert, vindt een vlam die op hem wacht.
وَأَنَّ& #1575; كُنَّا نَقْعُد& #1615; مِنْهَ 5; مَقَـعِ& #1583;َ لِلسَّم& #1618;عِ فَمَن يَسْتَم& #1616;عِ الاٌّن¡ 4; يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَابا& #1611; رَّصَدا& #1611;
