On Tuesday 28 November, the new Real Madrid Exhibit will open its doors for the first time. The expansion to the current Museum at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium will include historical documents and objects related to the Madridista Centenary, the Real Madrid Foundation, and the Basketball Section, which is a must-see for all Bernabéu Tour visitors.
The act will take place at 1 pm CET, while the doors will officially open to the public at 3 pm.

The Tour
The Bernabéu Tour, which includes the Real Madrid Museum, was inaugurated in November 2002. It was then that the public could finally visit the most important points of the Stadium. The visit began with a panoramic view from the 4th Tier, followed by the Presidential Balcony, the dressing rooms, the tunnel, dugouts, and coaches area. Guests were then taken around the perimeter of the pitch until finally reaching the key point of the visit, the Real Madrid Museum. The Museum has been relocated and remodeled several times since then, with the last and most complete expansion to be inaugurated on Tuesday 28 November. The Museum consists of two floors with more than 2000 square metres of new exhibit space.

Since the Tour was established, the Museum receives more than 700,00 visitors each year, placing it among the most-visited museums in Madrid along with the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen. Of the 700,000 visitors the Museum receives, about 40% are students, many who come from France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

During the summer, more than 3,000 visitors from around the world pass through the Musuem doors each day. On some days the number has spiked to over 4,000. By nationality, the tourists who visit most are Mexicans, Argentinians, English and French, although more than 80 countries were represented last summer. A record number of visitors was set when Real Madrid hosted Villarreal and more than 7,000 people visited the Museum.

The Bernabéu Tour is the only Stadium visit in the world that the guest is free to roam as he pleases without a guide, although they are available for hire. During matchday, a large number of visitors are fans of the visiting team. Despite still being rivals when they end the visit, most are happy to admit that the Real Madrid Museum impressed them. The Tour, including the new Museum, ìs open every day of the year from 10 am CET to 7 pm CET, except for 25 December and 1 January when it closes. All the different trophies won by the Madridistas, as well as other priceless articles that reflect the history of the Club are exhibited.
