Believers, uphold justice. Always bear true witness, even if it be against yourself, your parents, or your relatives and regardless of whether the person against whom you are speaking is rich or poor. God is close to people regardless of their material circumstances. Do not be led by emotion, as this may cause you to swerve from the truth. If you distort your testimony, or refuse to testify, remember that God is aware of all your actions.

4.135. O, gij die gelooft, weest voorstanders der rechtvaardigheid, getuigen voor Allah, zelfs al was het tegen uzelf, of ouders en verwanten. Hetzij rijk of arm, Allah is beter dan beiden. Volgt niet de begeerten, opdat gij niet onrechtvaardig zult zijn. En als gij de waarheid omzeilt of er u van afwendt, Allah is goed op de hoogte van wat gij doet.

49.10. De gelovigen zijn voorzeker broeders. Bewaart daarom vrede onder uw broeders en weest godvruchtig opdat u barmhartigheid moge worden betoond.

48.4 Hij is het, Die rust in het hart der gelovigen heeft nedergezonden, opdat zij geloof aan hun geloof mogen toevoegen - en aan Allah behoren de scharen der hemelen en der aarde en Allah is Alwetend, Alwijs.
