The lawh al-mahfudh does not get touched except by the Angels
Bismillāh,
Wa salātu wa salām ‘ala rasulillāh,
I just learned from the explanation of Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān hafidhahullāh in Bulūgh al-Marām on the hadīth that mentions the writing of a book to ‘Amri bin Hazm in Kitāb al-Tahāra under the Chapter of the Nullification of Wudu (from al-Muwatta):
That according to ibn al-Qayyim this lawh al-mahfudh consists also of the Qor-ān, and that means when the lawh al-mahfudh may only be touched by the Angels, that this includes that the Qor-ān inside of it – may only be touched by one upon ritual purification (wudu/ghusl). Because the Qor-ān inherits this rule of being upon ritual purifcation through being included in the lahw al-mahfudh.
