Soera Al-Israa (De Nachtelijke Tocht)
17:65
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ وَكِيلًا
Indeed, over My [believing] servants there is for you no authority. And sufficient is your Lord as Disposer of affairs.
Voorzeker over Mijn dienaren zult gij geen macht hebben. En voldoende is uw Heer als Beschermer.
Be like a flower that gives its fragrance even to the hand that crushes it.

Soera Al-Israa (De Nachtelijke Tocht)
17:71
يَوْمَ نَدْعُو كُلَّ أُنَاسٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
[Mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will call forth every people with their record [of deeds]. Then whoever is given his record in his right hand - those will read their records, and injustice will not be done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside the date seed].
(Gedenk) de Dag waarop Wij elk volk met zijn leider zullen oproepen. Zij die hun boek in de rechter hand ontvangen, zullen hun boek lezen en hen zal geen onrecht worden aangedaan.

17:72
وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِ أَعْمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَعْمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
And whoever is blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way.
Maar wie blind is geweest in deze wereld zal blind zijn in het Hiernamaals en ver afgedwaald van de rechte weg.

17:73
وَإِنْ كَادُوا لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِيَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُ ۖ وَإِذًا لَاتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلًا
And indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which We revealed to you in order to [make] you invent about Us something else; and then they would have taken you as a friend.
En voorzeker zij zouden u (de profeet) willen afleiden van hetgeen Wij u hebben geopenbaard, opdat gij iets anders over Ons mocht verzinnen; dan zouden zij u zeker tot vriend hebben genomen.

17:78
أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.
Houd het gebed bij het verbleken van de zon tot aan het donker van de nacht; en het reciteren bij de dageraad. Voorwaar, van het reciteren bij de dageraad wordt getuigd.

17:79
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
Blijf gedurende een deel van de nacht vrijwillig wakker (voor het gebed). Waarschijnlijk zal uw Heer u een verheven rang verschaffen.

17:80
وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانًا نَصِيرًا
And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority."
En zeg: “O mijn Heer, laat mijn intrede een goede intrede en mijn uitgang een goede uitgang zijn. En schenk mij van U een gezag dat tot hulp zou kunnen strekken.”

17:82
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا
And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.
En van de Koran openbaren Wij hetgeen een geneesmiddel en een genade is voor de gelovigen; doch voor de onrechtvaardigen vergroot het slechts het verlies.

17:97
وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ ۖ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۖ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا ۖ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَعِيرًا
And whoever Allah guides - he is the [rightly] guided; and whoever He sends astray - you will never find for them protectors besides Him, and We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection [fallen] on their faces - blind, dumb and deaf. Their refuge is Hell; every time it subsides We increase them in blazing fire.
En hij die Allah leidt, is goed geleid, doch voor hem die Hij laat dwalen zult gij buiten Hem geen helper vinden. En Wij zullen hen verzamelen op de Dag der Opstanding, op hun aangezicht, blind, stom en doof voorover liggend. Hun verblijfplaats zal de hel zijn; telkenmale als het Vuur afneemt, zullen Wij de vlam voor hen aanwakkeren.

Soera Al-Israa (De Nachtelijke Tocht)
17:110
قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَٰنَ ۖ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا
Say, "Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not recite [too] loudly in your prayer or [too] quietly but seek between that an [intermediate] way.
Zeg: “Roept Allah aan of roept Rahmaan aan, bij welke naam gij Hem ook noemt, Hij heeft de schoonste namen.” En zeg uw gebed niet te luid en evenmin te zacht, doch zoek een middenweg.

17:111
وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا
And say, "Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."
Zeg: “Alle lof komt Allah toe Die Zich geen zoon heeft genomen en Die geen mededinger heeft in Zijn Koninkrijk noch heeft Hij enige helper wegens zwakheid.” En verkondig Zijn Grootheid.

18:1
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ عِوَجًا ۜ
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.
Alle lof behoort aan Allah, Die het Boek aan Zijn dienaar heeft geopenbaard, gaaf en volmaakt.

18:2
قَيِّمًا لِيُنْذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِنْ لَدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا
[He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward
Volmaakt (in leiding), om te waarschuwen voor Zijn gestrenge kastijding en de gelovigen die goede werken verrichten de blijde tijding te brengen dat zij een uitstekende beloning zullen ontvangen

مَاكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا
In which they will remain forever.
Waarin zij eeuwig zullen verblijven.

18:7
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا
Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.
Voorwaar, Wij hebben al hetgeen op aarde is tot haar sieraad gemaakt om te beproeven, wie van hen van goede werken is.
