Russische veiligheidstroepen hebben in de opstandige deelrepubliek Tsjetsjenië vrijdagavond een en zaterdag twee opstandelingen gedood. Dat hebben regeringsfunctionarissen bekendgemaakt. De opstandeling die vrijdagavond werd gedood was volgens de autoriteiten een Arabische huurling. De Tsjetsjenen werden zaterdag gedood in een dorp vlakbij Grozny. Een vuurgevecht brak uit toen de groep rebellen waarvan zij deel uitmaakten en die zich in een huis had verschanst, weigerde zich over te geven. Een opstandeling werd gearresteerd en twee leden van de veiligheidstroepen raakten gewond. De veronderstelde Arabier vond de dood tijdens een vuurgevecht in de plaats Avtoery, ten zuidoosten van de Tsjetsjeense hoofdstad. http://www.nieuws.nl/29462
