Three passengers were shot and killed on bus number 165 traveling from Haifa to the Druse village of Shfaram Thursday evening, after a soldier opened fire inside the bus. A man in uniform, apparently a soldier or reservist, raised his gun and opened fire after a dispute broke out between a number of passengers, Channel 2 reported. The man also directed his gunfire outside the bus, and one of the casualties in the attack was reportedly a passerby. Residents of the Druse neighborhood of Shfaram, where the bus came to a stop after the shooting, stormed the bus in order to control the shooter. The man, dressed in border police uniform and sporting a beard and kippah, was reportedly trapped inside the bus with the furious crowd raging outside, Channel 2 reported. Large police forces were on the scene but had not yet managed to get through the throngs to arrest the suspect. Earlier reports claimed that police had managed to immediately apprehend the suspect proved untrue. Three victims wounded in the shooting were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. One of them was in moderate condition, and the other two were lightly wounded, ZAKA officials reported. Magen David Adom ambulances reported having difficulty reaching the scene of the incident to evacuate additional victims because of the crowds that had gathered at the site. The incident was apparently unrelated to terror. Hij is dus nog steeds niet gearresteerd.
