STORY:
Anees Bazmi’s yet another comedy film in the form of ‘Welcome’ can only be rated as an average entertainer. Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor stand out amongst the lead actors. Nana is at his comic best and delivers a great performance. Anil Kapoor as a funny don looks good. Akshay Kumar, in his fourth comedy film of the year, seems doing the same kind of character again and again. Between the two leading heroines, Mallika Sherawat and Katrina Kaif, the former definitely looks spicier, livelier and more animated. Mock-romancing two goofy gangsters Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, Mallika is really impressive. Katrina, on the other hand, is a sister of the two gangsters, who are in a search of a noble bridegroom for her.

The climax is set with all the characters cramped in a wooden shack perched in the middle of a yawning precipice and it’s not only the precipice that's yawning by the time the climax screeches into sight. ‘Welcome’ struggles to make the audience laugh as the comic aptitudes of Bazmi develop beyond a cluster of gags and skits beaded together in broad strokes of crud
